Starbarians- Episode 1
Harry Partridge always manages to outdo himself, especially with his latest series Starbarians. The animation and production quality is superb and I am quite eager for more. The series follows two interstellar Barbarians who slay evil and save the boobilicious princess, in a Heavy Metal inspired setting.
If you’ve ever seen anything by Happy Harry, you’ll know just what to expect: Awesomeness.
Atomic Robo: Last Stop Trailer
There’s a really awesome Kickstarter project that’s going down right now that wants to create an Animated short inspired by the comic series Atomic Robo, called: Atomic Robo: Last Stop. For those unaware of what Atomic Robo is, it’s an indie comic by Scott Wegner and Brian Clevenger, creators of the hit webcomic 8-Bit Theater. It’s about an Atomic powered robot designed and built by Nikola Tesla in 1923 who kicks tail throughout the entire 20th century, in the same of science. The comics are as witty as they are action-packed, so if you’re a fan of comics or giant robots, check it out.
The short looks slick and it’s worth a kick, as there’s some really good loot to boot. I tossed them $60 and I got a signed copy of any volume of Atomic Robo, Official T-Shirt, DVD of the short, poster, pins, digital wallpaper, and special thanks in the final credits. The incentive packages with this are probably the best I have seen in any Kickstarter project yet.
There’s still a few more days left to contribute, so if you’re a fan of Atomic Robo or cool things in general, give it a check and a kick.
Atomic Robo: Last Stop ends funding on April 12th at 11:59 EDT
Rock it for me- Caravan Palace
This fantastic music video by Caravan Palace ripe with style and filled with classic imagery. Note the visual allusions to Metropolis and other classic sci-fi films. Music is pretty toe-tapping too!
Ignis Solus
I cannot believe I have carried on this long and completely neglected to cover any form of machinima. This piece tells the story of the lonely Pyro living in the stalest place on earth, 2Fort. I loved TF2 right from the get-go, and it still is one of the best games I have ever had the pleasure playing. While we may have come across our differences as of late, it is a game I will cherish for the rest of my life. This short reminds me of a simpler time for TF2, a time before hats. Where it was just the characters as they were meant to be in their own little world, and we all loved it for it.
It’s a charming short and I do hope you enjoy it.
Anniversary
True love never ends
Tiny Story
Minimalism at it’s best. Unique in presentation and deep with meaning, this short tells it all.

Pushing 150 frames on this piece at 849k, I can probably take this GIF to 160 frames. I just realize I’m rusty on my camera animation skills in cinema, the last time I animated a camera was in maya like two years ago. I usually animate the camera inside after effects at work, in my opinion, not as fun as cameras in 3D software.
Cool stuff!
